The graphic above shows the itineraries for 4, 3, and 2 weeks in Sri Lanka on a 30 day VisA.
3o Day Visa
The 30 day visa is the Entry Visa, issued for 30 days, and required for volunteering. Should you wish to stay longer than 30 days, a Residence Visa will be issued for volunteering for up to 6 months or up to 1 year.
Planned time off
We have planned the itinerary to help you make the most of your volunteering, and your visit to the amazing island of Sri Lanka. This is a tropical island, and we have allowed for that in our planning. As in all hot climates, things do take a little longer, and so we have built in an afternoon a week, Wednesday, for you to rest and go to the pool. We also plan a 4 day working week. We think that this is more than enough - but you can do a 5 day week should you wish to.
Start & end days
We shall begin by saying that we understand circumstances are different for everyone, and that flight prices do vary. Therefore we are flexible on your start and end days, The ones we have planned, are designed to maximise your experience of volunteering, and to have breaks so that you enjoy yourselves, and make the most of your 30 day visa. Therefore, we begin on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, and end on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
Joining us before the planned start day
Should you wish to join or finish before the planned start and end days, we may well be able to put you up at our HQ, or another place, which will incur an additional charge. At our HQ, this will cost you £12 / night, without meals. You will also have to make your own way to Anuradhapura, should you not wish to stay around Colombo until the pick up day from the airport. If you wish to stay around Colombo until the pick up day, we can help you with finding places in Colombo that we recommend.
