Itinerary 2:

Trekking in Nepal (with sightseeing)

Days 0-11

(Arrival day is Day 0, Departure Day is Day 12)

Day 01: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, we will take you sightseeing.

  1. Pashupatinath Temple, a revered centre for Hindus across the world, the seat of Nepal’s national deity, Lord Pashupatinath, and a UNESCO Heritage site since 1979. Temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries make up this complex,  and it is here that saddhus gather and pray on the banks of the Bagmati River.

  2. Bouddhanath, the holiest place of worship for Buddhists in Nepal.

  3. Patan, also known as  Lalitpur, this city of beauty is separated from Kathmandu by the Bagmati River and is the second largest town in the valley. Lalitpur is fragmented from other cities due to its substantive architectural ancient masterpieces. Patan's Durbar Square is packed with temples, having a greater concentration of temples per sq. meter than in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara Drive

After breakfast we begin our trekking in Nepal by taking the tourist bus to Pokhara, driving through the beautiful countryside, and along the Trisuli river.

On arrival, at about 16:00, you are free to explore the beautiful lake side city of Pokhara, where you stay the night.

Day 03: Pokhara to Khumi drive and trek to Ghandruk (1,940m/5hrs)

After breakfast, we drive 4 miles to Kyumi. From here, we trek for 3-4 hours to Ghandruk to overnight in the picturesque village of Gurung, where we are overlooked by the soaring mountains.

Day 04: Ghandruk to Sinuwa (2,360m/6-7Hrs)

After breakfast, we trek the undulating trail to Sinuwa for 6-7 hours, climbing 400m across rivers and jungles, and enjoying the splendid view of Mount Annapurna and Fishtail.

Day 05: Sinuwa to Deurali (3,230m/7hrs)

Following breakfast, we trek through bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forest for 6 hours to reach Deurali, where we overnight. During the journey we enjoy the beauty of waterfalls, temples, and caves, gaining almost 900 m in altitude.

Day 06: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/5hrs)

After breakfast we trek the challenging uphill trail from Deurali to Machhapuchhre base camp, gaining almost 900 m in altitude. Here we have a spectacular vision of mounts Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and many more. We then follow the upward trail to Annapurna base camp where we marvel at the 360-degree panora of majestic peaks.

You’ll be pleased to know that here, unlike at Everest Base Camp, we overnight in a hotel.

Day 07: Annapurna Base Camp and descent to Sinuwa

After breakfast our trekking in Nepal takes us downhill to 1,700m, to reach Sinuwa to overnight, enjoying spectacular scenery throughout.

Day 08: Sinuwa – Jhinu (hotsprings) 5 hrs, then drive to Pokhara (3-4 hrs)

After breakfast, we trek 5 hours to Jhinu, where we stop for lunch. After crossing the suspension bridge, we drive to 4 hours to Pokhara, where we stay for 2 nights.

Day 09: Rest day in Pokhara

We have a rest day in the beautiful city of Pokhara, which you can explore and relax.

Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive

After breakfast, we take the tourist bus to Kathmandu, the drive being around 8 hours. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 11: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, we have a full day of Sightseeing.

First to the Swayambhunath, a 5th-century Swayambhu stupa, whose golden spire is adorned with a colorful fluttering prayer flags, The stupa crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city. Swayambhunath is one of  Nepal’s most recognizable symbols in Nepal, and the painted eyes of the Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.

Then on to Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the three durbar squares found in Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu Durbar Square is rich in history, architect and culture. Here you will also have the chance to witness Kumari; the Living Goddess.

You will also visit the Asan Bazaar, the local market place.

From here we drive to the foothills of Chandragiri Hill, taking a cable car to reach the top of the hill, at an altitude of 2,551m. From the top of the hill you can see the whole city of Kathmandu, and when the sky is clear you have an amazing view of the mountains, including Mt. Everest.

Day 12: Depart Kathmandu / Airport

After breakfast, and closer to the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight, having enjoyed a wonderful experience trekking in Nepal with us
